INGENCO and Waste Management of Pennsylvania, Inc. executed contractual agreements today regarding the development of a 6 MW landfill gas-to-energy facility at the Pine Grove Landfill. The project will be unique since it will convert a continuous flow of wasted landfill gas into multiple beneficial uses.

When the gas is not used to produce electricity, it will be converted to thermal energy for the direct use of a nearby industry. In this way all the landfill gas will be beneficially used even when the demand for any one of the above uses is less than the landfill energy available.

This will be the company's second facility in Pennsylvania and its seventh LFG generation site overall.
