Construction Begins on Brunswick County Landfill

BRUNSWICK COUNTY - Ground-breaking on the Brunswick Landfill-to-Gas Energy project occurred on
March 30, 2007. The project will install 11 MW of power generation housed in a 175 foot
building using landfill gas from the Brunswick County landfill.
Contractors are working on forming and pouring the building foundations
and will progress to erecting the building. Work will progress steadily, and the plant
is expected to be ready for completion in August.
